USS Endurance

Introduction
The Endurance was conceived on stardate 10001.28. It was the brain child of personnel from the USS Endeavour foremost including Lieutenant Commander Hardman and Lieutenant Sheseala both of the USS Endeavour. All the crew put together ideas of their own and then the ideas were formed into one great design.

An impressive list of enemies, all foes of the Federation, and part of the reason for StarFleet Directives 10003/2890. The Directive states that because of the HARZADOUS nature of Starfleet mission, that the current generation of Starfleet small crafts - runabouts and shuttles - are INADEQUATE for the protection of personal.
Furthermore Starfleet determine that it had lost far too many ships to ongoing conflicts, as such there were growing demands on Starfleet resources at the same time Starfleet was lacking in the number of platforms to perform the required missions. As a result Starfleet decided that it needed to develop a new generation of more powerful small crafts. Not only would this important add to the survivability of the small craft, it would better equip them to handle the number of mundane tasks that Starfleet deals with, such as emergency rescue, search and rescue, border patrol, colonial assistance and diplomatic missions. This would allow the releasing of starship to deal with more major missions.
To that end Captain Martin Parkes, in consultation with his former Executive Officer Commander Amanda Chryso, and personal at Starfleet Engineering, decided to make the Endeavour become part of project Alinta, a project for the development of small crafts onboard designated Starfleet ships. The Endeavour's part was to develop the Endurance, a multi purpose, long range small craft capable of engaging in protracted combat with Borg and Dominion.
To make the Endurance capable of fighting against the Borg and Dominion, three key systems were made part of the Endurance. The three systems were the Enhanced phaser, the ADCAP (Advanced Capability) Torpedoes and the Stealth Sensor Warfare system.
